Organising a corporate event can be stressful and time-consuming, with many aspects to consider from start to end. Whether you are hosting a conference or a training session, keeping your delegates and guests well-fed is an important service to provide. At dido’s, we can provide corporate catering services for corporate events with our fine food either as a sit-down meal, or as a buffet. We love creating dishes that will make your event memorable!
When planning your corporate event catering, you will need to decide whether you want to serve a hot buffet or a cold buffet. For long days that are full of meetings, it can be nicer to provide a hot buffet for your delegates. Cold buffets are great if you are hosting a drop-in event, or a day where groups of people break out at different times. Your food will stay fresh, safe to eat and can be regularly replenished. You can be mindful towards the length of the breaks given too, with hotter food more suitable for long breaks and cold food better for grab-and-go breaks.
Which type of buffet you choose will also be dependent on the time of day you are hosting your event. For early morning meetings, you may want to provide healthy grab-and-go options, such as smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, ham and cheese croissants, a selection of oat traybakes or avocado and egg sandwich bites. We can even provide breakfast canapes! As a midday break, you may want to offer some refreshments, including fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and biscuits.
For lunchtime buffets, you can be creative with which type of cuisine you would like to serve. Depending on the subject matter of the day, you can celebrate any area of the world through the food you serve. From cold meats to curries, you can choose dishes which suit your delegates and any themes of the day. If you are having a networking session during the lunch break, finger food may be preferred, as this allows those wanting to network to eat quickly or stand, eat, and chat. Fuller dishes are more difficult to navigate when wanting to be standing or converse with multiple people.
For a full table buffet, you can choose to have bowl foods such as roast teriyaki cauliflower with coriander, edamame beans and brown rice, or soy and ginger glazed salmon with sticky rice, cucumber and spring onion. A favourite of ours is a slow roast beef brisket with chipotle chilli – but consider your guests if you are thinking of choosing a spicy dish! Of course, some corporate events require evening catering, with full three-course menus and petit fours. At dido’s, we love creating bespoke menu’s which are memorable for guests both aesthetically and in terms of flavour and taste.
